As members of the Rose family, strawberries have a wonderful fragrance that complements many flavors. Rarely, however, does the strawberry get to speak for itself. Strawberries have been cultivated since the days of Ancient Rome, and they even believed strawberries had medicinal qualities.

Our recipe uses nothing artificial. We don’t use anything your grandmother wouldn’t have in her kitchen. In our recipe of Agua de Fresa, we’ve just added a hint of lemon, whose sourness accompanies the sweetness of the strawberry beautifully. Although not a traditional variation, the lemon’s sourness wonderfully complements the sweetness of the strawberry.
